Las Ventanas, CozumelCozumel

Cozumel is the largest Island in the Republic of Mexico at 31 miles long and 10 miles wide. It is comprised of porous limestone, which absorbs and filters the rain water so virtually no run off occurs thereby preserving the unparalled beauty of our sea waters and surrounding coral reefs.

Cozumel lies just 11 miles east of the mainland and its Mayan Riviera, separated by the Yucatan Channel which carries the Gulf Stream northward.

Since 300 AD, Ah-Cuzamil-Peten, or "Island of the Swallows", in Mayan, has been home to the Maya, Spanish Explorers and a number of infamous Pirates.

In 1962, Cozumel became a popular destination for divers after the famed Oceanographer, Jacques Cousteau visited the Island and proclaimed our coral reefs to be the finest in this hemisphere. Today, Cozumel, is truly a world class destination
